As 2024 comes swiftly to a close, we take a moment to reflect on an extraordinary year. While being named CEO of the Year and earning a spot among the Top 500 Most Influential are significant honors, our true celebration lies in another remarkable year of Cultura’s growth and impact.

Community

Brand

In San Diego, Cultura is woven into the fabric of how the city moves forward. Whether by roads, planes, trains, boats, or cars, our work touches every corner of the community. We proudly support over 60,000 people in loving where they work, because work isn’t just a place—it’s all around you.


As we make our way into 2025 and beyond Culture and Place are going to have a bigger impact than ever before.


Culture

Can you pay everyone more, give more time off, and outperform metrics by eliminating excess, inefficiencies, redundant processes, and friction points? Now more than ever, your why matters. While some still think this is about Gen Z or the “me generation,” it’s really about discovering you—your authentic self. Call it what you will, this is about effectiveness, not just productivity, and true effectiveness thrives in collaboration, not isolation. Working from home or individually will only get you so far.

Place

A ping pong table might get some use, but it won’t define your culture. Mandating a return to the office won’t guarantee collaboration. True operational excellence—streamlined processes and a frictionless workflow—comes from community and connection. Culture drives pay equity, mental health, and personal success, and bringing emotional intelligence back to the workplace has a deeper impact than any policy or mandate. Trying to succeed through isolated productivity alone will leave you falling behind.
